Nine Plainfield Students Earn National Merit 'Commended' Status

Nine District 202 high school seniors have been named “commended” students in the 2013-2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Although they will not continue in the 2013-2014 competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended students are among about 34,000 being recognized this year. Commended Students were chosen from the approximately 75,000 highest scorers who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
