Sweep: Championship Wins for Plainfield High School Hockey Teams

Varsity, junior varsity end the season on a high note.

Plainfield High School Hockey just finished off a winning 2012 Spring Season in the Darien sports league with two championship wins.

For the varsity team, the win tops off an undefeated spring round of match-ups with their new head coach, Willis Griffin, who has transformed the team into a cohesive unit that draws from all four high schools in Plainfield and Reed-Custer in Braidwood.

The junior varsity team also took the championship in their division following a dramatic victory over Brother Rice during the eliminations that propelled them to a shutout victory against the Bruins of Addison.
