When and how did your business get started?

We opened Sept. 7, 2013. I worked at my sister's women's consignment shop, Posh Style in Shorewood, for about two years and loved it so much I decided to try it on my own!

I started looking for a location in early June and found the perfect place close to home. Within three months my husband and I, with some help from my brother, had the business up and running.

What is your business best known for?

We are a women's consignment boutique that carries clothing from size 0 to 4x including after 5 and formal for proms and dances. We all carry a great selection of new and used costume jewelry, purses, shoes and other accessories. 

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business? 

I chose Plainfield because it is my home town, there is nothing like this in Plainfield and when I would talk to locals about my idea I got an overwhelming response.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We consign by appointment and season, you receive 40 percent of the sale when your items sell to use as store credit or just extra cash! We offer you coffee, tea etc. while you shop and even have a playroom for the children—and if they clean up when the are done they get a special treat!

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

If you spend $100 at one time you receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $25 gift card the 1st of every month. We also have ladies nights and mommy days for special discounts, refreshments and appetizers!
