Does your child love to sing and dance and perform for others? Then join StagePlay the week of July 23-27 in Plainfield for an intense yet entertaining program in musical theater for boys and girls. We emphasize the journey toward producing a show from start to finish, creating a fun and non-competitive environment for kids to stretch their dramatic wings. Celebrate the "Broadway Beat" with hits from Hairspray, The Music Man, The King And I, Rent, and Grease, and a medley of favorites from George M. Cohan. All participants will learn songs and choreography at an age-appropriate level of difficulty while learning about the history of Broadway. The StagePlay program also incorporates valuable life lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, confidence, and theater etiquette. On the last day of camp, our talented young stars perform for friends and family, showing off all that they have learned in only one week! Ages 5-8 (10:30am-2:00pm/$118) and ages 9-15 (12:00-3:30pm/$136). Register through the Plainfield Park District (815) 436-8812. For questions about the program, email info@stageplaykids.com.
