Members of the the Plainfield High School Hockey Association’s Junior Varsity 1 team were congratulated by Plainfield Mayor Mike Collins and the village board on Monday after taking second place in the 2013-14 Illinois State Hockey Tournament.

Uunder the guidance of Illinois West JV Coach of the Year Bob Kimball, the team compiled a regular season and playoff record of 29-9-1, a feat made even more impressive by the fact that this is Plainfield's first year in the prestigious Illinois West Hockey Division.
