Versatile Vinegar Won't Leave You in A Pickle
Live green for less and save by using readily available safe and economic products such as oilve oil, vinegar, baking soda and other natural products.
Vinegar's a natural and economical product that I simply cannot do without.
According to Wikipedia, it's an acidic liquid produced from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid (ethanoic acid). Most of us recognize vinegar as the clear, sour-smelling liquid associated with pickles, but did you know it can kill weeds, de-mineralize appliances such as coffeepots, dishwashers and shower heads, clean glass and countertops, freshen laundry in rinse cycle, take the itch out of mosquito bites, de-skunk your pet, clean your dog's ears and remove winter road salt residue?
The uses for vinegar are simply amazing and can be easily found online at http://www.vinegartips.com/Scripts/ and http://www.versatilevinegar.org/usesandtips.html.

Best of all, it's inexpensive. One gallon of vinegar costs about $2.50 (if you shop at Aldi's, you can buy a quart for about 60 cents).
Living green can be both practical and economical, as well as socially responsible. Next, I will spotlight another wonderful, readily available multi-use product called baking soda, so stay tuned.
