Conservation Plainfield Seeking Cleanup Volunteers

First 100 students who register will receive coupon for mini Papa Murphy's pizza kit, and all participants get an iron-on logo.

Conservation Plainfield is holding its semi-annual Clean-Up Plainfield Week from Oct. 16 to 23, and is seeking volunteers to help clean up litter around town.

The group urges residents to grab friends, family and neighbors and pick a time, date and public place at which to collect garbage.

While registration is not required, the first 100 students to register via email at info@ConservationPlainfield.com and to submit a photo of their clean-up efforts will receive a certificate good for a free Mini Murph pizza kit courtesy of .

Last year, more than 100 participants, including scout troops, and Plainfield Junior Women’s Club, made a difference by getting out and cleaning up litter and recyclables from places they visit frequently. 

“People can clean up at a time and place that's convenient," organizers said in a medial release. "The whole idea is simply to get out there and see that it's really easy to make a difference."

Conservation Plainfield kicked off this event by holding a logo contest for Plainfield area students. Registered participants will receive an iron-on transfer showcasing the winning logo.
