Donate to the Plainfield Food Pantry at Patch’s Plainfield Fest Booth

But fest-goers who stop by our spot in front of can also give back to the community thanks to our partnership with the .

The Patch tent will serve as a dropoff point for pantry donations from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Just stop by, drop off donations of canned goods, non-perishable foods, personal items and school supplies, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Pat Cork, volunteer operations manager at the food pantry, said with a new school year just around the corner, school supplies are especially needed.

“Our shelves are pretty empty” when it comes to back-to-school items, Cork said.

Everything from dry-erase markers, glue sticks, No. 2 pencils, crayons, folders, washable markers, spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, black and red pens, facial tissue, colored pencils and markers are needed to help the pantry help provide supplies to students in need.

Other items in low supply at the pantry are soup, other canned goods and personal items like toiletries and laundry soap.

“We really appreciate any non-perishable items, whether it’s edible or not,” Cork said.
