Environment Expo Being Held at Village Hall

The event, held by Conservation Plainfield, will offer such activities as geo-caching, rain barrel painting and a reptile show.

Conservation Plainfield's Spring Environmental Expo is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5 at and . 

Participants will learn about geo-caching, ride a bike-powered stereo, purchase a rain barrel and native plants, paint a rain barrel, see a reptile show and enter to win raffle prizes. Recycling bins will be provided for used ink and toner cartridges, medical waste and batteries. 

The event is being sponsored by Engineering Resource Associates Inc. Exhibitors include Conservation Plainfield, Engineering Resource Associates, Working Bikes, , Pizzo and Associates, University of Illinois Extension Service, Will County Health Department, Meha’s Recycled Bags/Henna Painting, Rachel Rayas 4H Teaching Garden, Anything Grows Garden Club, The Morton Arboretum, Northeast Illinois Invasive Plant Partnership, The Conservation Foundation, Wholesome Living/A Shaklee Distributor, Hitchcock Design Group, GR2012/Celebrating Sustainability Festival, Citizens Against Ruining the Environment, the , and Optimal Health and Wellness.
