Hero's reception for Plainfield man who was lost his foot to a roadside bomb in Afghanistan last fall and has been undergoing medical treatment and rehabilitation.

, a Plainfield native who lost his foot in a bomb explosion in Afghanistan in September, was given a hero's greeting Sunday by members of Operation Welcome You Home, police officers and firefighters, village officials, family members and friends.

Allen Persons, Plainfield superintendent of public works, shared these photos with Plainfield Patch. The event took started at the on Route 59, and McKinney was given an escort to his family home.
