The event, which begins at 2 p.m., will give guests the chance to taste 15 different chilis made by area businesses to benefit the charity. Patrons can vote for their favorite for the "People's Choice Award," while a panel of "celebrity" judges will choice a "Judges' Choice" winner.
The event, hosted by Matt and Judy Schnell, will feature live music by the WaterDawgs.

Tickets are $20 each; guests can also make donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation on the Chili Kickoff Cookoff Website.

The Friends of the Plainfield Public Library will host its annual Art & Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the library, 15025 S. Illinois St. You can start your Christmas shopping early, pick up gently used Halloween costumes and find unique art and decor.
