Scare Up a Good Time in Plainfield: 'Screamfield,' Halloween Movie and More
What's happening this week in Plainfield, plus some local headlines you may have missed.
It's the spookiest season, and starting this week, there's lots of Halloween fun to be had in Plainfield.
On Friday, the Village of Screamfield will open, offering up plenty of frights, plus family friendly fun. The event is a fundraiser for the District 202 Foundation for Excellence. Click for a full schedule and more details on the annual event.
Also on Friday, the Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will host a free Halloween movie in Settlers' Park, weather permitting. Bring the family and watch "Casper" (PG) at 8 p.m.
The free movie is presented in conjunction with the Plainfield Park District's Frankenstein's Kiddie Carnival, which starts at 6 p.m. at nearby Ira Jones Middle School. Click for more event details.
