Thanksgiving Closings in Plainfield; End of Yard Waste Pickup

Thanksgiving is Thursday — time to defrost that turkey (if you haven't already started) and prepare for a little downtime, if you're lucky.

• The Plainfield Public Library closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday and is closed Thanksgiving (it reopens at 9 a.m. Friday)
• Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St., is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29.
• The Plainfield Township office, 22525 W. Lockport St., is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29.
• The Plainfield post office, 14855 S. Van Dyke Rd., is closed Thursday.
• District 202 schools are closed Wednesday through Friday (Nov. 27 to 29).
• St. Mary Immaculate Parish School is closed Tuesday through Friday (Nov. 26 to 29).
