Fall is Here: Harvest 5K Returns, Plainfield Pumpkin Patch to Open

The Plainfield Public Library will also host a flu shot clinic.

There's lots going on in Plainfield over the next few days:

Friday


With flu season nearly upon us, the Plainfield Public Library and Plainfield Township will team with Meijer pharmacy to host a flu shot clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the library, 15025 S. Illinois St.

Most insurance plans and Medicare will be accepted; cost is $24.99 per injection.

Saturday


Best known as a great place for Christmas trees, Anderson Tree Farm, 508 Illinois 126, is opening its Fun-E Farm Pumpkin Patch at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The pumpkin patch is new this year; the farm also has hayrides, a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and food. 

Sunday


The Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K returns starting with the Kidz Miler at 8 a.m. Sunday (registration is at 6:45 a.m.). Read about the race and related road closures here.
