See 'The King' in Plainfield; Sign Up for Winter Reading

Enjoy the music of Patsy Cline, Cher and the King — Elvis himself — at a live band performance starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion, located at Renwick and River roads in Plainfield.
Tickets are $10 at the door, and food and drinks will be available.

Support Troy school bands at the fourth annual spaghetti dinner for the band boosters at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Troy Middle School, 5800 W. Theodore, Plainfield.On Sunday, head over the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., and sign up for this year's winter reading program.
The "Race into Reading" program runs from Jan. 12 to Feb. 23; festivities kick off from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, when patrons who register can enter prize drawings.
Registration deadline is Feb. 16.
