Plainfield East High School is one of five high schools in Plainfield School District 202. It was built in 2008, and an addition enlarged the building in 2009. Because it is so new, its first graduation ceremony will be in 2011. Plainfield East has a full complement of sports teams and a huge selection of extracurricular programs and clubs. Student organizations include National Honor Society, Chess Club, Sign Language Club, Student Council, band and choir.
