Plainfield is dotted with small neighborhood parks all over the community and boasts several large park areas and three major recreation facilities: the Ottawa Street Pool, the Normantown Trails Equestrian Center and the Streams Recreation Center. Among the various parks' amenities are baseball fields, playgrounds, picnic shelters, trails, concession stands, tennis courts, sledding hills, ice skating rinks, a canoe launch, fishing, basketball and volleyball courts, football and soccer fields, a BMX bike park and a dog park.
