Position Description

Illinois' 118 state representatives represent the residents of their districts in the General Assembly. Members serve two-year terms.

Incumbent Tom Cross, whose new district following redistricting is the 97th, was uncontested in the Republican primary. There is no Democratic candidate. The new district encompasses portions of Plainfield, Shorewood and Oswego.
