Card using enthusaists kind of deserve to have this happen to them. By using your cards everywhereRead More you go, do you realize you are taking a large chunk of the businesses profit and choosing to give it to banks and credit card processors rather than the business itself? You, by using your cards, also force businesses to raise prices. Stop using your cards and you won't have to worry about security breaches AND you help businesses AND you help yourself by allowing businesses to lower prices.

For all the years I've had debit cards, never used them. If you're somewhere where credit cards, aRead More check or cash in your pocket can't be used, you shouldn't be there. Besides, most of you forget about all those last minute withdrawals and Irresponsibility takes over, yet you're still surprised- "what happened my bank account?"- the drunken stupor in the bar, or knee jerk "i gotta have it". Most can't afford those approaches, and the service fees know that

I don't like debit cards either, it is a direct line to one's bank account. What I didn't like wasRead More my bank replacing my ATM card with a dual usage ATM/debit card without asking me...I made them cancel it and give me an ATM functionality card only. Some people don't have credit line established yet (like my college student son) and have no choice but to use a debit card instead of credit card. I take precautions and have it assigned to an isolated checking account, and urge son to monitor it closely (set up email alerts), good training for future financial independence.

When taxes are imposed on various industries then to stay in business the prices increase on theRead More consumer! Obamacare , gas taxes, payroll taxes, tolls, the proposed soda and candy tax , your tobacco tax is 75% of what the product really costs! Commercial Property tax increases! Do you people see what's going on here? This country is being destroyed by the Democrats! It is starting to resemble The a Soviet Union! We should change the name of this country to the USSA!

Mark, Your words are absolutely disgusting. Please do not use this comment thread as a vehicle toRead More spew your racist mentality. And for your information, food-borne illnesses come from agriculture, period. All around the world, including in the U.S. Lastly, your hatred for people of colour does not mean that you understand disease, at all. Good luck in life.

Anyone but Phillips Chevrolet. I got screwed at Phillips. I picked-out a truck, put down a $200 cashRead More deposit and came back the next day to find they sold my truck to someone else. Cheeseballs.
Interested resident April 2, 2014 at 09:01 am
That is a shame Lenny Kravitz. I'm sorry to hear that. The patch says Fallon will buy the truckRead More for the rep (in quotes). My understanding is that he is going to buy a truck from the rep. He said last Friday night that he didn't want to make it that easy for the sale.
william savick April 2, 2014 at 03:35 pm
Question Lenny Kravitz; Did you get your $200. back?

P-Ville Lifer April 1, 2014 at 11:56 am
Nabby's has been there since at least 1978; I was 15 and had to get a work permit to work there. IRead More believe the original owner's name was Bob?

Vicky Kujawa March 19, 2014 at 10:02 pm
If someone was allergic to nuts they would not be able to be on this board lol!
Diana Flores March 21, 2014 at 01:16 pm

It is my belief that rte 30, though heavily driven, needs to be cleaned up a bit between Renwick andRead More the car dealers. Renovations to the strip mall areas that the stores occupy would encourage more people to stop by or nicer signage advertising these places along the street can help. Nicer curb appeal will attract more people.
Ron March 7, 2014 at 12:39 pm
Been saying that for years. The village needs to work with the owners making sure they are keepingRead More up the property and not direct businesses that they don't want downtown to rt 30. Hopefully the reconstruction of rt 30 will help. Anyone know what became of the mall that was to be built on the old truck stop site. Please don't blame Bush.
Droncz87 March 7, 2014 at 01:49 pm
To add to that how about the old Plainfield Motel? That has been sitting for a couple years nowRead More since they tore down the burned building. I don't even think anyone occupys the couple houses on the property.
Jordan S. Zoot March 5, 2014 at 02:49 pm
Given all of the things I have to worry about today I am sure glad that tainted nuts isn't one ofRead More them.
Oliver P. McCracken March 6, 2014 at 09:33 am
I thought folks were complaining that The Patch no longer had an editor? If there is no editor, thenRead More who deleted my nuts-&-taint-tainted remark?
