Renwick Community Park offers recreational parks and serves residents throughout Plainfield and portions of Na-Au-SayMore and Wheatland. It provides sports leagues, family programs and other activities. Renwick Community Park spans more that 40 square miles and includes approximately 80 parks within its boundaries. The park is funded by state statute to levy taxes, issue bonds, donations and park fees. It has several building sites, including the Normantown Trails Equestrian Center, Recreation/Administration Center, Ottawa Street Pool, River Edge Recreation Center and the Streams Recreation Center. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Park District property. Residents may rent picnic shelters, pony rides, the pool area for parties, hayrack rides and more.

Among the various parks' amenities are baseball fields, playgrounds, picnic shelters, trails, concession stands, tennis courts, sledding hills, ice skating rinks, a canoe launch, fishing, basketball and volleyball courts, football and soccer fields, a BMX bike park and a dog park.
