Chicago Magazine Says Plainfield's Schools Are Best in Will County
Nine of the top 10 slots belong to District 202, with Lincoln Elementary being highlighted as one of the suburb's six best.
A strong mentoring program for fledgling teachers, a beefy team of 3-R experts and skill at making tough cash calls are the reasons Plainfield Community School District 202 cleaned up in Chicago Magazine's annual "rankings" of Chicago and suburban public elementary and middle schools. The October edition, which just came out, ranked five Plainfield elementary schools (Lincoln, Walker's Grove, Eagle Pointe, Liberty and Freedom) and four middle schools (Heritage Grove, Ira Jones, Drauden Point and Indian Trail) in its Top 10 list for Will County schools.
