Plainfield police have confirmed that the truck belongs to William Litchfield, but are awaiting identification by the coroner's office.
A dead body found Monday afternoon in a grassy area of a Will County Forest Preserve may be that of a man reported missing in October, Plainfield police said today. Sgt. Kevin McQuaid said police are awaiting formal identification of the victim by the Will County coroner's office, but have confirmed that the pickup truck in which he was found was the one driven by William Litchfield, 59, at the time of his disappearance on Oct. 4.
