A Plainfield Park District commissioner is questioning the candidacy of three people who are seeking spots on the Plainfield Public Library District Board of Trustees. Peter Hurtado, who was elected to the park board in 2011 and ran unsuccessfully against State Sen. Linda Holmes last November, filed objections to the nominating petitions of David Schmidt, Alice R. Adeszko and Lauren Ledvina. Hurtado’s 19-year-old daughter, Samantha, is among the nine candidates for the four open seats on the board in the April election.
