National Weather Service: Dense Fog Advisory in Effect for Plainfield Area
Visibility in some areas is a few hundred feet.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for Will County that will remain in effect until noon. Dense fog will continue throughout the morning with gradual improvement in conditions beginning late in the morning, although some areas may not see improvement until early afternoon. Widespread visibility is less than one quarter of a mile this morning and many areas have extremely dense fog with a couple hundred feet at best visibility. Be sure to use your fog lights, or head lights if not available, while driving to both alert fellow drivers and to help you see.
