You can hunt for garage sale bargains and browse more than 30 vendors selling everything from cosmetics to cupcakes to jewelry this weekend at the Friends of the Plainfield Public Library’s annual Vendor Market and Garage Sale. The sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 15025 S. Illinois St. The event will raise money for the library’s “Reading is So Delicious” summer reading program, according to Friends of the Library President Barb Ebeling. Any remaining proceeds will help pay for furniture for a newly renovated meeting room at the library, Ebeling said. There’s nothing like a good book … except a good book at a really good price. Thousands of titles will be up for grabs this weekend for a buck or less. The Friends of the Plainfield Public Library used book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the library, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield.
