Midwest Music Academy is asking anyone who can purchase a gift for a disadvantaged child to respond by Friday, Nov. 9.
For the second year, Midwest Music Academy in Plainfield is partnering with the Salvation Army to provide holiday gifts for area kids whose families are facing tough times. "Last year we collected gifts for local children through the Salvation Army," music academy director Tom Serb said. "We’re doing it again this year by hosting a giving tree." Anyone who can help by purchasing a gift for a disadvantaged child should contact Midwest Music Academy at 815-254-5778 by Friday, Nov. 9. Serb said the business needs advance notice "so we're not assigned more children than we can help."
