[UPDATED] Report: Plainfield Man Held in Girlfriend's Death in Wisconsin

Brian M. Cooper and Alisha N. Bromfield reportedly attended a wedding in Door County on Saturday.

Updated at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 A family friend of 21-year-old Alisha Bromfield said the Plainfield resident was several months pregnant when she was killed, according to the Door County Advocate. The friend, who asked not to be named, said suspect Brian M. Cooper, 35, was not the father of the baby.  Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel would neither confirm nor deny that Bromfield was pregnant. The sheriff has also not released any information regarding Bromfield's cause of death.  Cooper, who has not been formally charged, is scheduled to appeaer in Door County Circuit Cort at 1 p.m. Tuesday.  The pair reported worked together at the Joliet Home Depot store, but Vogel told the Door County Advocate it was unclear if they were employees of the store…

Remains Believed to Be Keller's Burned Beyond Recognition, Police Say

Tests still being done to verify if they belong to Toni Keller; case has been reclassified as a homicide.

Remains found in a park south of the Northern Illinois University were burned so badly that it took forensic specialists a week to determine if they were human, and they still do not know if they belong to Antinette "Toni" Keller, DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen said today. The case, however, has been reclassified as a homicide and police are operating under the assumption that the victim is Keller, the 18-year-old Plainfield girl who has been missing since Oct. 14. In fact, the remains were found Oct. 16 but the information was not made public for more than a week -- not even to Keller's family -- because police didn't want to make a mistake should it be found they actually belonged to an animal, Feithan said, speaking at a morning press…
