Plainfield Music Students Chosen for IMEA All-State Festival
District 202 teens performed last month at the annual conference.
Editor's note: The following is a press release from the Plainfield School District: Ten District 202 high school music students took part in the 65th annual Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) All-State Conference festival at the end of January. Participation in this event is one of the most prestigious honors in high school music in the state. The students traveled to Peoria to perform with the best high school musicians in the state at the music festival the weekend of Jan. 24. They auditioned last fall for the state event during district-level performances. Each student auditioned for band, orchestra or chorus.
