Limestone Brewing's Still Open ... for Now

While acknowledging they are having trouble with their landlord and that there have been closure rumors, business advisor Michael Vai said they are open for the "foreseeable future."

Rumors of Limestone Brewing Company's imminent closure may be premature, but the business is definitely having problems involving its landlord and lease. "There are some issues going on and the big scuttlebutt is we're closing, but it's not true," business manager Michael Vai said. "We are open and plan on being open for the foreseeable future." Joe Ardovitch, whose Ardmin Properties owns the North Plainfield Crossing strip mall in which Limestone is located, could not be reached for comment. Some Limestone employees were told of the possible closure last week, and brewmaster Ken McMullen sent an online note to the Plainfield Ale & Lager Enthusiasts group urging them to drop by Saturday for a beer because they could be closing.
