Plank Jr. High Student Still Missing After Four Days

No new updates regarding 13-year-old Reyna Martinez's whereabouts, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office.

Reyna Martinez, a 13-year-old Boulder Hill girl, is still missing after four days, the Kendall County Sheriff's office confirmed Wednesday afternoon.  Detective Sergeant Joe Jasnosz of the Kendall County Sheriff's office said Reyna was last seen Sunday morning at her home in the 0-100 block of Long Beach Road.  According to a family member, the Plank Junior High student has deleted all of her family from her Facebook account.  She has friends in Oswego, Montgomery and Plainfield, the family member said.  Reyna was last seen wearing a black tank top, white Abercrombie hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black Converse shoes with a pink near the laces.  Jasnosz confirmed that she is still missing and that foul play is not suspected. Snapshot: Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Announces Commander’s 25th Anniversary

Commander Robert Wollwert has served as a patrol deputy, community policing officer, patrol supervisor and sergeant, training coordinator, detective sergeant and now support services commander.

Sheriff Richard Randall recently awarded a 25 year service pin to Commander Robert Wollwert.  As Support Services Commander Wollwert oversees Records, Court Security, Training, and Evidence Control functions. Commander Wollwert was Sheriff Randall’s second patrol hire, effective 8-3-87. During his time he has served as a patrol deputy, community policing officer, patrol supervisor (promoted to Sergeant in 2000) and was the offices first full time training coordinator, a position he held for seven years before being appointed to Detective Sergeant in 2010. He served as KCSO’s liaison to the Kendall County Emergency Management Agency and was the first line supervisor of the Auxiliary Deputy program from 2000 to 2010. He was promoted to his …

Snapshot: Local Businessman Donates Time and Barber Chair to Kendall County Jail

Owner of Roots Hair Studio has been donating time to cut inmates' hair.

Marc Thompson the owner of Roots Hair Studio has recently donated a barber chair to the Kendall County Jail. In addition to donating the barber chair to the Kendall County Jail, Marc Thompson has been donating his time to cut inmates hair at the jail for the past few months.  Marc Thompson is the owner of Roots Hair Studio that opened in 2006 and has locations in Oswego and Sandwich, Illinois. Man Charged in Crash that Killed Woman, Injured Plainfield Man

Matthew Lambert is believed to have been drunk and high when he struck a motorcycle driven by Gregory Kawohl, killing Kawohl's passenger, Kendall County police say.

A man who was allegedly drunk and high on marijuana when he drove in front of a Plainfield motorcyclist, killing the cyclist's female passenger, has been arrested by the Kendall County Sheriff's Department. Matthew D. Lambert, 28, of Somonauk, faces two counts of aggravated DUI, a class 2 felony, and three counts of reckless homicide, a class 3 felony, the department announced in a release today. The accident occurred shortly before 8:25 p.m. Oct. 10 at the intersection of Walker and Grove roads, near Yorkville. It's alleged that Lambert, who was taking a left-hand turn from Grove onto Walker turned in front of a motorcycle driven by Gregory Kawohl, 45, of Plainfield, the release said. Man Driving 90 mph the Wrong Way Busted, Cops Say

Minooka man was allegedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest, Kendall County sheriff's officers say.

A Minooka man who was going 90 mph the wrong way on a road near Route 126 and Ridge Road in unincorporated Plainfield was arrested by Kendall County sheriff's deputies and charged with driving under the influence, the Sun-Times Media Wire reported. For the full account, click here.

Bogus Jury Form Linked to Identity Theft: Cops

Plainfield resident provided her Social Security number, not realizing the questionnaire she filled out was a scam, police say.

A Plainfield resident who had her identity stolen after completing a bogus Kendall County Jury Commission questionnaire has prompted Kendall County to issue a warning about the scam. The resident, who lives in the Kendall County portion of Plainfield, received the juror questionnaire on Oct. 28. It asked that personal information be provided, including a Social Security number, according to a news release issued by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. The respondent complied and later became a victim of identity theft, the release said. When shown a copy of the actual jury commission questionnaire, the victim was able to verify that the form she completed was different, the release said.
