Plainfield Man Charged with Soliciting Naperville 12-Year-Old for Sex; Bond Set at $1 Million

A 35-year-old man tried to meet with a 12-year-old girl at a Naperville movie theater, according to police.

A man from unincorporated Plainfield is charged with soliciting a 12-year-old Naperville minor for sex over the Internet, according to the Naperville Police Department. Woldman, 35, of the 7000 block of Clearwater Drive, allegedly engaged in illicit conversations with a 12-year-old girl via Facebook, cell phone, text and Skype, according to police.  Naperville Police High Technology Crimes Unit began an investigation Dec. 21 after the girl's mother discovered her daughter was allegedly in communication with Woldman, police said. I knew he had worked at Xsport but never knew he was fired from their-- just asssumed got back into Real Estate. Plainfield Man Busted for Taunting, Injuring Naperville Police Dog

Police say Douglas Carncross was taunting the animal and cut its mouth and gums when he slammed a car door on its head.

A Plainfield man who slammed a Naperville police dog's head with a car door has been arrested. Douglas Carncross, 26, of the 21000 block of Edison Lane, was charged with injuring or killing a police animal, criminal trespass to a vehicle and resisting arrest on Aug. 21 after police observed him taunting the animal, who was inside a Naperville squad car, the Chicago Tribune reported today. Police say the incident happened at about 1:45 a.m. in the 0 to 100 block of Jefferson Street in downtown Naperville. Cops Will be out in Force Along Route 59 Monday

Naperville police are joining other law enforcement agencies Monday for an intense traffic study.

Although you should be abiding by the law regardless, be sure to buckle up Monday if you drive along Route 59. Naperville police and other area law enforcement agencies will be conducting a direct traffic study along Route 59 between the Will and Lake county lines. "The purpose of the initiative is to increase the safety of citizens utilizing the thoroughfare through education and traffic enforcement," said Naperville Police Sgt. Lee Martin, in a written statement. The efforts will be geared specifically toward speed and seat belts, according to a news release. But other safety violations may also be ticketed.
