Plainfield Parks Candidates Withdraw from Race Amid Objections

It’s been a rough election season so far in Plainfield — and you can add two more candidates to the list of those who have been ousted from the April 9 ballot. Two Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners candidates have withdrawn from the race after a park district resident challenged signatures on their nominating petitions, according to the Will County Clerk’s office. Park board president Michael Brann, the lone incumbent in the race, withdrew last week after a Jan. 9 electoral board meeting regarding a challenge filed by Roger Domagala, a rep for the clerk’s office said.
