UPDATE: Three Killed in Semi Truck Crash Near Oswego

The Illinois State Police released preliminary details of a Monday afternoon crash on Rt. 126 between a car and a semi truck in which three people died.

Three people died when a car collided with a semi truck on Route 126 near Oswego on Monday afternoon, according to preliminary information released by the Illinois State Police. Identities of the three killed in the crash have not been released. One was driving and two were passengers in a black Ford coupe that pulled out in front of a semi truck headed east on Route 126 at Schlapp Road around 3:15 p.m., police said. The crash flipped the semi truck onto its side. Paramedics needed to use extrication to get the victims from the car, and all three were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where they were pronounced dead, according to police.
