Meeting to Review Plainfield Transportation Plan Update is March 20

Residents can review a draft of the plan and see exhibits showing proposed improvements.

Submitted by the Village of Plainfield: Interested in transportation improvements in Plainfield? Would you like to make sure that your ideas are included in the village’s future plans? If so, plan to attend the Village’s meeting regarding the Transportation Plan Update on Wednesday, March 20, from 6-8 pm, at the Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street.  A brief presentation will be made at 7 pm. During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review the draft Transportation Plan which includes prioritized improvements for all modes of transportation. Exhibits will also showcase both the vehicular and pedestrian improvements included in the plan.  After reviewing the proposed plan, residents can provide their feedback and comments…

Village: Share Your Thoughts on Plainfield Transportation Plan

Residents are urged to leave their input on the project website.

Thanks to a $120,000 grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), the village is looking to update its transportation plan, with an eye on planning for the future. Village officials are urging residents to visit the project website and share their feedback on what improvements they feel are important, along with concerns and questions, at www.plainfieldtransportation.com. There, residents can view an interactive comment map, which filters the discussion by topic: roadways, bike and pedestrian, transit and streetscape. So far, nearly 100 comments have been left on the site, which also allows residents to share photos and pinpoint the sites they feel should take priority.  The project website identifies numerous proposed …
