The next big winner could be drawn Saturday.
The big red Powerball rolled Wednesday night bringing the jackpot to $320 million for the Saturday, March 23 drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday’s drawing were: 13 - 14 - 17 - 43 - 54 and the Powerball was 15. While no one won Wednesday night’s jackpot, over 68,000 Illinoisans won prizes ranging from $10,000 to $4, according to Illinois Lottery officials. A jackpot of $550 million is up for grabs to one lucky winner of the Powerball Lottery drawing.

ABC News reports lottery officials expect to sell more than 105,000 tickets every minute before the drawing. Despite the long odds for the big jackpot, the overall odds of winning a prize are considerably better at 1 in 55. Since the last drawing on Nov. 24, the Powerball jackpot has grown by over $100 million to a record $550 million. The estimated cash payout is $360.2 million. No one has won the Powerball drawing in two months, and the jackpot continued to rise after strong sales, according to the Trib.
