Last Day to Register to Vote in April Election is Tuesday

The Will County Clerk's Office is open for in-person registration, and will be open till 6 p.m. March 12 to accommodate last-minute registrants.

In Will County, Tuesday is the last day to register to vote in the April 9 election.  Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots notes on the website that in-person registration is available. If you haven't yet registered, stop by the Will County Clerk's Office, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet. How to Register to Vote in Plainfield

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we’re giving you all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now. Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline. The voter registration deadline for Illinois is Tuesday, Oct. 9. On that day, the Will County Clerk's office, 302 N. Chicago St. in Joliet, will stay open until 6 p.m. to allow voters to register.
