ReplyMs. J, everyday IS the day to discuss values/beliefs with your children! Today is the day, tommorrow is the day. Children learn every day, bit by bit. What we believe in life is not imparted to them only by times we choose to sit and discuss things with them , but mostly in teachable moments, that happen often when we least expect them, like on the way to a park. So, hopefully these signs will remind everyone of the horrors of abortion so it will be stopped in this country.

ReplyStephanie--You are not hearing me. These signs are NOT meant to bring people to God--that is what you and I are for. It is the responsibility of all believers to spread the Gospel. They are meant to stop the MURDER OF INNOCENT CHILDREN and apparently these signs disturb people because what abortion truly is can't be avoided. It's all there in the pictures--I am thankful for the truth displayed in these pictures and pray for God's blessings to fall upon these modern day warriors.

ReplyLogansdad--I did NOT say the images should not be somewhere else, rather that they are NOT on Sesame Street. However, it would be a GREAT idea for these images to be EVERYWHERE if it meant it would end abortion. Yes.

ReplyStephanie--It is about whether it's right or wrong--but as a believer (which it sounds like you are saying that you are), this is not "just some issue." I hardly believe Jesus calls us to lovingly condone the murder of children and be "soft" about it. There are TWO sides to love, one soft and kind, and one that is strong and wars to protect. This is not some "vanilla" issue, LIVES ARE BEING DESTROYED & if you REALLY believe that, you may not be the one holding the signs, but you should ABSOLUTELY be in support of those that do.

ReplyStephanie--to most, and for most situations in life, what you saw may be true. However, this type of "head in the sand" thinking has caused ALL evils in this world. Abortion is ABSOLUTELY one of them!!!BABIES are being MURDERED EVERYDAY and that doesn't ALARM you enough to discuss this with even your 5 yr old child??It does alarm me and they did see these signs since they were 5, and I'm thankful for it--it's NOT gore--it is evil TRUTH.

ReplyWhat does the evil that someone has done (child molesting ) which is ABSOLUTELY another evil in our world have to do with abortion being the murder of innocent life ??? NOTHING!!! Stick to the issue at hand.

ReplyThey are NOT on an episode of Sesame Street. That is a completely invalid argument! And this is not just "some issue", it is the MURDER of a LIFE. However, I HAVE been THANKFUL when I have seen such demonstrations throughout the years I have lived in Plainfield for such bold demonstrations. It has been a useful tool in raising my boys, whom I pray grow up and are part of the few in our society who will stand up for life in this country. If you don't like the images that are being held up, what exactly are you objecting to?? You must be admitting that you see a life. If that is so, it must be disturbing you because then abortion would be murder...hmmm.....

ReplyHow sad to hear you don't want to explain the concept of abortion to your children. Isn't that what our job is as parents? How else will you pass on your values and beliefs onto your children without discussing all topics, especially difficult and uncomfortable ones such as this. My boys are 12 & 14, and we have repeatedly and continuously discussed this and many difficult issues throughout their lives. They were appalled, at the age your children currently are, to know that such an evil is sanctioned in our society!!

ReplyToo graphic?? If people in this country think it's "ok" to dismember innocent children in the womb through the process of abortion, then they should have NO problem with the pictures!! If it is "just some cells" and "not a life yet", what exactly are they bothered by in the graphic pictures?? Oh yeah, it is be because they can see pieces HANDS, FEET, ARMS, LEGS, HEADS of the CHILDREN murdered through the process of abortion. So, as long as this country "has the right" to perform abortion, we the citizens, have the right to "show" the public the EVIL truth about abortion. It's funny that every a sickening comment/scary truth about our society today that every odd, disturbing fringe group can shove their beliefs/practices in our faces in "parades" or demonstrations, and they are promoted, protected, and defended by the public assertion they "have the right to free speech." However, those that just want to protect INNOCENT CHILDREN, have to continually BATTLE to have their constitutionally given right to free speech. Are we really down to a handful of people in this country who can stand up for the most basic right of humanity, life?

With all the dismantling of our Constitution these days, it is nice to see some upholding of it!! Our founding fathers believed this right was so important that its our SECOND ammendment RIGHT!! This ruling is a pleasant surprise.
