On the article Plainfield Police Seek Suspects in Gas Station Robbery

ReplyI am going to ignore all of the back and forth comments and simply say this. I think it is quite apparent why robberies are on the rise. I do not condone their behavior nor make excuses for it but if our economy were in better shape, and people had jobs they wouldn't need to rob a few hundred dollars. I think it is sad to think their are still children who are hungry in this day and age, I think it is sad to know people are still losing their jobs and refrigerators are empty. So instead of excusing apartments, or saying the police don't do their job look at how we can help make this town a better place. Suggestions should be left on the comment instead of criticism that would be refreshing!!

On the article Easter Seals Group Home Proposal Met with Opposition

ReplyReading these posts I am saddened that we would speak so negatively or be so FEAR based that we would oppose something so generous and kind as to give human beings a HOME. We are more kind to neglected animals than we are to human beings. We worry about our property values, when we should be worrying about these men who have not had a stable home. What if you had children that were blind or deaf wouldn't you want them cared for properly when they became adults? Wouldn't you be horrified to read these posts that were about your adult children? Most of us are giving and kind in this world let's show the Patch Readers you exist.

ReplyThis was a great post! Children do mirror our behavior we teach them by how we behave everyday. What this taught me today is that we have to be responsible for our childrens behavior and to teach them to be honest and fair to everyone they meet. It is ok to stand up to a bully just like you did and kudos to u for your bravery. I pray any child or adult who is being bullied finds their voice, courage and more importantly self-worth to stand up for themselves.

ReplyAll that comes to mind as I read all the District 202 cuts and changes is the saying "A penny wise a dollar foolish". We too are concerned at the bus changes our children love their bus driver and these cuts will affect all of our kids.

ReplyRon Paul seems to be the only one media forgets. He is the only one who has been consistent, has not cheated on three out of four wives, has promised if he gets elected will only accept median income = to 34,000 annually, wants to end the federal reserve and thinks that government is way too big. So why is he off everones radar? Just saying...
