My Beliefs
Strong family values are important to me and are the center of my world. It does take a village to raise a child, and inspirational role models in a community are very important. Human-interest stories centering on random acts of kindness or community involvement are my favorites, as they help offset the violence that typically appears on the news.
Politics
On the 4th of July you will see me wearing red, white and blue. Patriotism is extremely important to me. I am a member of the DAR (Daughter's of the American Revolution), as my family arrived here in 1629 on the second Mayflower. My heritage has a governor, privates in the Revolutionary War, a drummer boy in the Civil War and Purple Heart decorated officers in WWII.
Religion
I was raised in the Presbyterian Church, my parents were both active members. My children were raised in the Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville. Today, I am drawn to the idea of attending church where my family or friends attend.
