Learn About Common Core at Plainfield School District Forums
The next event is scheduled for Oct. 2 at Aux Sable, and the final forum will be Oct. 9 at Timber Ridge Middle School.

The third community forum about Common Core State Standards for learning will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 2nd, at Aux Sable Middle School, 2001 Wildspring Parkway, Joliet.
Glenn Wood, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, will give a brief overview of the Common Core State Standards. He'll update the district's progress in implementing the math standards this year, and will also answer questions.
As well, three teachers will share their perspectives and experiences on implementing the standards.
The last community forum will take place next Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Timber Ridge Middle School. If you can't make either of the last two forums, the entire presentation and related resources are available on the front page of the District 202 website: Common Core State Standards
