It was the large number of recommendations that made a crew from Chicago's Best stop by Frank's Night Out in Plainfield on Tuesday afternoon.
Owner and chef Marcus Mooney was thrilled to have the crew on hand and residents of Plainfield were happily surprised to find themselves interviewed for a television show.
Ryan Forthofer, 20, of Plainfield, was thrilled by the idea as he was eating lunch with his family wearing a Plainfield High School theater T-shirt. Ryan and his brother and mother and father had just stopped by for lunch, although it is one of dad Dan Forthofer's favorite places.
Mooney said it was a blessing to have the crew out this week.
"We're just a little hot dog stand, but big things are happening for us," he said.
The show is scheduled to air on WGN Channel 9 at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.
