C.W. Avery Family YMCA Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

To celebrate the Grand Opening of its new Wellness Center, the C.W. Avery Family YMCA will host a Ribbon Cutting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, at its Plainfield location, 15120 Wallin Drive. All members are welcome to attend.

To better accommodate the fitness needs of its growing membership base, the Y expanded the Wellness Center at its Plainfield location earlier this year. Construction began in mid-August and the new space opened for members in early September.

In addition to increasing the square-footage of the Wellness Center, the Y also increased the number of cardio and strength machines available to members. These new pieces of equipment have provided health seekers with limitless opportunities to train smarter and more effectively. The new Wellness Center also features new flooring, energizing paint colors, a water bottle filling station and an expanded seating area.
