Photo: Plainfield Teen Wins Pinball Championships

Joshua Henderson took first place in the junior division at the Professional and Amateur Pinball Association championships last weekend in Pittsburgh, and snagged second place among 10,000 competitors for the world title.

Fourteen-year-old Joshua Henderson of Plainfield took first in the Professional and Amateur Pinball Association's Junior World Pinball Championships, held Aug. 9-12 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also competed on the world level and placed second among more than 10,000 pinball players at the annual event.

Following this competitive win, Joshua will be ranked one of the top 10 players in the USA and top 15 players in the world. 

The Plainfield teen isn't about to rest on his laurels and has big ambitions.

"Next year I want to travel to Europe to represent the USA in international competition," Henderson said. "In the meantime I like playing pinball and want to share the fun and excitement of playing the game with my friends."
