  • On Tuesday, the senior linebacker committed to LSU, choosing the Tigers over Tennessee, Florida and Ole Miss, according to ESPN.

NOLA.com reported that Garrett made the announcement ahead of schedule after originally being slated to make his decision next month at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Garrett told ESPN he loves Baton Rouge, adding, "The game-day atmosphere is amazing and the people down there are great. The school itself has great academics, and LSU is in the running to win a national championship every year."
